Plants in Crete in September

 Taking photos of plants, especially ones that don't necessarily grow well in my garden is something I really enjoy doing. So what was thriving in Crete when we visited? I think you can probably guess, not everywhere, but here was a good patch of Morning Glory:

And this lovely trumpet flowered bougainvillea where we stayed
this was at the Kalypso Cretan Resort, a succulent which was very drought tolerant and low maintenance

there were also masses of sea squills in parched open country:

and this most fabulous angel's trumpet or Brugmansia looking fantastic in a pot outside a house
There were small plots of land in Myrthios where we were staying which were cultivated as allotments, but there wasn't a lot of gardening in evidence where we went. These are apparently the best 3 gardens in Crete.
