Artsite Exhibition held at the Post Modern

Earlier this month there was an Artsite exhibition of 100 artworks by artists invited to take part, and held in the Post Modern building in Theatre Square. The opening night was held on 11 March from 7-9pm; it was lovely to see so many familiar faces and catch up with people not seen for a long time. There has been a real lack of these sort of events over the last two years, a loss particularly felt now that we don't have Friends'  events at Swindon Museum and Art Gallery, since it's closure.

I took photos of the exhibition before people came in, and then after they arrived; I don't have details of all works, and because I'm behind with getting this out, the exhibition is no longer available to view, but thought it was worth celebrating the exhibition.

I can start with this photo because it features works by artists I know, on the left 3 by Ken White and on the right two by Tim Carroll.
This piece above was very striking, it wasn't for sale.
Testing myself here, at the top, there's a piece by David Bent, with Lynette Thomas magic roundabout underneath, and Kate Parsons' Swindon Town Centre map.
Above I recognise three Caryn Koh paintings
Above a very striking head by Jamie Bullock
Above in the middle row, paintings by Deb Battaglia, ceramics by Sam Silverton, hare by Puff of Smoke artist, Bee Cooke-Operanto and an enamel piece by Phyllida Richards
There's a Dee Carter seascape above
You can see Paula Sullivan's work in the photo below, and Gordon Dickinson's paint drips
The cat was painted by Sophie Corrigan, and there's a dog by Kate Parsons

Here are a few photos taken during the social event:
It felt like the 'old days'
And below an enamel by Phyllida which I wish I'd bought
And finally a fabulous photo of Gordon, Ken and Tim, thanks to Gordon for taking this photo.
What a great night, thank you to Artsite for putting on this great exhibition, and sorry not to be able to name check everyone who took part.
