Midney Gardens

Midney Gardens, a series of linked garden areas, including a plantsman's garden, kitchen garden and wildlife pond is well worth visiting. It's an RHS Partner garden which gives an inkling of the high standard of the planting and design.
I took a few photos of the last visit on an open day when despite the drought conditions, everything was still looking good.
There's a wonderful bit of grass cutting around the willow tree which you might be able to see from this photo below:
There were a couple of examples of grasses looking fabulous in gravel at the edge of borders. Made me realise they look so much better when given room to breathe
The entrance to the house has a bit of a Great Dixter feel about it with the grouped pots.
 and this one:

It was getting a bit late when we arrived, catching the last sun of the day
And here's a bed of herbs
Below the gin garden, bringing together ingredients of gin along with lots of Bombay Sapphire bottles!
This is the entrance to another part of the garden

 The walk of contemplation
 The wildlife pond
and a mannequin at the entrance to a world gardens greenhouse
A truly inspirational garden with lots of good ideas. The plant sales are also excellent with some unusual plants for sale.
