PV of the Eileen Cooper Exhibition at Rabley

I was really pleased to be able to attend the Private View of the opening of the Eileen Cooper RA exhibition entitled 'Forest' at the Rabley Gallery near Marlborough a couple of weeks ago. The exhibition runs until 20 October, so there's still plenty of time to visit, opening times for the gallery are 10am-4pm Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You can find more details by clicking on the link.
I didn't take many photos of the work, but here are a few:
Above the poster advertising the exhibition on the wall outside the gallery, and below a large painting in the house
in the hallway of the house, I spotted this in Eileen Cooper's style, so beautifully produced
There are paintings, drawings and some fabulous sculptures in this exhibition. Proper photos of the exhibition appeared on their Facebook page, they were taken before the opening and show how beautiful the work is, thank you to the Rabley photographer for these:

There is also work by Jo Taylor in the beautiful courtyard
These two pieces look really good against their backgrounds
below you can see a black sculpture on a plinth to the left of the Japanese anenomes
 and here's a better view:
It was a mild September day, so I decided to stick to my plan and walk home to Swindon from Rabley. The first view is leaving Rabley on the way to the road
Between Rabley and Ogbourne St George there are tracks over the Downs
 some going through woods
and from Ogbourne there's a long walk along the disused railway track which on a Saturday afternoon was surprisingly busy. I met a neighbour cycling in the other direction which was a coincidence. There was an ownerless dog near Chiseldon and then I was upon the M4
via the curly whirly bridge
and on the Coate side of the motorway
by now the day was a bit dull, but this is still a lovely sight, Coate Water from the end of Broome Manor Lane
Total distance about 10.5 miles
