Juliet Wood at White Horse Bookshop Gallery

The White Horse Bookshop in Marlborough High Street is an impressive looking Elizabethan building, their website says: 'The multi-award winning White Horse Bookshop first opened its doors in 1943 and has stood on its present site - a 16th century townhouse in Marlborough, Wiltshire - since 1949. Although we are much more than just a online bookshop, we remain independent and inspiring readers of all ages continues to be our passion. Over 200,000 discounted books online for next day delivery.'
So much more than a bookshop, there's also a lecture theatre and gallery space where Juliet Wood had her beautiful exhibition, sadly it has taken me so long to catch up with my blog posts that Juliet's exhibition is no longer there, November's artist is Victoria Jinivizian
But back to Juliet's exhibition. Juliet was kind enough to agree to meet me and show me around the exhibition. What a difference it makes to talk to the artist about their work, you see things in a different light. Here's Juliet below with her beautiful portrait of her brother and sister in law.

Below a delightful portrait of her grandson
Juliet and this portrait are featured in this edition of the Artist magazine with cover by Eileen Cooper

Below the article about how Juliet's grandson's portrait was painted, and a link to the article:http://www.painters-online.co.uk/articles-tips-advice/view,portrait-painting-with-juliet-wood_16506.htm
Chatting with Tim:

Below a picture entitled 'Hoop' depicts Juliet's granddaughter with a hula hoop on the beach.

  Lovely exhibition.
You may remember Juliet's exhibition in Swindon a few years ago of her observational drawings in McDonalds in Swindon called 'Alone and Together, Brunel's People'.
Do have a look at Juliet Wood's work when you get a chance, and now is the perfect time to visit the White Horse bookshop.
