Carey's Secret Garden is situated in a 3.5 acre walled garden near Wareham. The walled garden and gardener's cottage were built in 1883 to service the Trigon Estate, and the gardens were rediscovered when Carey House was purchased a few years ago. Looking to try and find a photo of Carey House which is listed, I came across an article in the Daily Mail from 19 May 2021 about the discovery of the garden which hadn't been cultivated since the 1970s. It makes interesting reading, but the comments from Daily Mail readers are mostly coruscating and quite unfair.
The entry fee is £10 which I felt was fair because there's a lot to see and it's an unusual site, still under development.
There's a lovely round house with a wheel attached to the ceiling where presumably herbs and flowers could be dried. The rest of the photos are a mixture of the lovely Salvia beds, the one below is Peter Vidgeon

This lovely white Salvia is Gletsjer, would love that one.
The one below is lemon light

There are many unusual plants for sale, I bought Salvia Sagitatta, Salvia Muelleri and Pelargonium Cola Bottles, all illustrated if you click on plant sales on their website.
