Specialist Plant Fair at The Coach House

It's only 2 weeks ago that I went to the first plant fair of the season at the Coach House in Ampney Crucis where there is a wonderful garden, they also hold lectures throughout the season. That's of course in a normal year, this year, it's likely that we won't have many plant fairs. Although I thoroughly enjoyed the plant fair, there was a sense of 'holding back', knowing there would be the Rare Plant Fair at Wells this weekend, and many more to come this summer. However Coronavirus has put an end to all plant buying at fairs for the moment, I am hoping that I can start buying plants online instead, conscious that we need to keep the fabulous nurseries in business. My garden is stuffed full of fantastic beauties bought at plant fairs, which is why #SixOnSaturday is such fun, there's always something to photograph.
I'm glad I took a few photos of the garden and plant fair, I like this one of the rill in the garden:
I'll go to views of the fair, and then back to the garden:
Above Tortworth Plants, always a good selection of wonderful plants, and below Hardy's Cottage Garden Plants, they have a fantastic range of plants in their nursery and online. There are plenty of other fabulous nurseries around.
Two photos of people with bags, there are so many glorious plants to buy at fairs, and there are such interesting and unusual plants.
Another view of a heavily laden table
after buying plants, there's coffee and a chocolate brownie, included in the £5 entrance fee, with most of the money going to charity. Then I had a look round the garden which is divided into rooms with different themes, below looking into the vegetable garden
The rose agrden with a great place to sit
 The swimming pool garden
Tall yews which look a bit dark
and finally the small courtyard by the house which always has a lovely calm atmosphere
Let's hope it's not too long before we can get out to plant fairs again.
