Six on Saturday

A couple of weeks ago I came across #SixOnSaturday on Twitter founded by Caversham JJ who also has a blog with a participant guide included to help others join #SixOnSaturday. I'm hoping I've got this correct, the first time I saw #SixOnSaturday on Twitter, I'd left it too late and suggested to @cavershamjj that I have #SixOnSunday, I was advised to wait until the following week, and I can see his point.
I love looking round my garden and mentally picking out things I like at that particular time, and also taking photographs of them, so this seemed like a perfect thing for me. Last week, having learnt how to post 6 photos at once on Twitter, I simply did that. This week, I'm going to explain why I chose the 6 things. Here goes:
This is Primula Hall Barn Blue, one of my favourites. I have quite a collection of different Primulas, this stands out because of the fabulous contrast between the blue and green.
I posted a brighter Corydalis last week, it appeared before this on. I think this is Corydalis solida Beth Evans, and last week's was George Baker. It's an amazing plant which just appears at this time of year, and then disappears for the rest of the year.
Above is a photo of a dark double Hellebore, no idea of the variety, but love the vigour and persistence of Hellebores. I used to think they were a bit dull, but love the interest they give to a spring garden.
I inherited this Narcissus Rip Van Winkle with the garden, it comes up every year and produces two flowers, doesn't multiply, but can be relied upon to keep coming up.
I went to my first plant fair of the season yesterday at The Coach House in Ampney Crucis, had a good look round, enjoyed their gardens, had coffee and a brownie and bought a few plants. Another Primula, this one is Perle von Bottrop, two Erysimums, Coronilla valentina spp glauca Citrina, Narcissus cyclamens and spoirot and an unnamed hellebore.
My sixth photo shows the concrete base my husband and friend laid for the new greenhouse, looking forward to the next stage:
I'll make a collage of the photos now and post the as #SixOnSaturday.
I always wondered how people made collages of photos.
