Exercising in the Sun

Last week, on one of the brilliantly sunny days, Tim and I went for a walk up Ladder Lane, there's a steep slope about two thirds of the way up which is a bit of a challenge. It was a perfect day to be outside, and for taking photos. Here's the  level part of Ladder Lane
with glorious woodlands to the left as you walk up and farmland to the right.
I've included both photos of the woodland, although similar, they are slightly different
It's hard to imagine carts traveling up and down the steep part of the track. This lane was the main track connecting Marlborough to North Wiltshire villages according to the link above.
The photo above is a particular favourite of mine, showing Tim making light work of the steepest part of the track
On the way back home, there were a pair of red kites circling overhead, I tried to photograph them, and realsied the sky was wonderful even without the red kites.
On the way out, I took a photo of the community bed near the Marriott looking fabulous with the daffodils. It's worth having a look at the daffodils underneath the nearby oak tree
Let's hope we can get back to OTRA community gardening soon.
