On the fourth day, we walked the shortest distance, only 9 miles, but from Grasmere to Patterdale, we were either walking uphill or downhill, and it rained all day making taking photographs very difficult, so there aren't many photos of the walk.
I'll start with the view from our hotel room where we were warm and dry

And here we are having a mid morning break and wondering how to have a comfort break wearing layers of waterproofs
I stayed dry all day despite the sometimes torrential rain, but wished I'd spent that bit extra and got waterproof gloves. I wasn't anticipating needing gloves in May, but it gets very cold on the tops. Fortunately The Inn had an excellent drying room.
